Adam Hurst joined the IMG family in December 1986 and has moved through a variety of positions during his tenure with the company. Today, Adam is Vice President of Interface Media Group, a position he has held since 1998. Adams’s extensive history at IMG affords him unique insight into the needs of present and potential clientele. He is a consistent link between clients and the organization, from concept and budgeting through the final stages of postproduction. His current duties include overseeing sales and marketing efforts, client services, exploring and penetrating new markets and technologies, and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Today, Interface Media Group’s expansion and consolidation of its Washington, DC-based holdings is complete, and the all-digital, data-centric production and postproduction center is housed under one banner, under one roof. Adam is familiar with all aspects of the company, having earned his stripes working in all of IMG’s various divisions.

In 1991 Adam Hurst became a member of the senior management team when he was appointed General Manager for DC Post, where he oversaw facility operations. Earlier, he held numerous posts at Interface Video Systems including Account Executive, Studio and Location Production Manager, Assistant Editor, Operations Assistant Production Manager, Duplication Production Manager, and, of course, his entry position, Receptionist.

Adam was actively involved with ITS: The Association of Imaging Technology and Sound for ten years. He served as the ITS International Monitor Awards Chairman for three years. While a board member of the ITS Mid-Atlantic Chapter he also served as Mid-Atlantic Monitor Chairman for a period of six years. In addition Adam is also active in WIFV and TIVA.

Prior to his arrival at Interface Media Group, Adam worked as a Technical Director at NUS Training Corporation (Gaithersburg, MD), a producer of industrial training tapes, and on the assignment desk of ABC affiliate WJLA TV (Washington, DC).

Adam earned his B.S. in Speech, with a concentration in radio, television, and film production, from Northwestern University.
