John has worked with countless clients on a range of projects from political spots to long format documentaries. He specializes in 5.1 surround mixing and has spent most of his career mixing for PBS, National Geographic, Discovery, Military Channel, etc. He has a Bachelors in Music from James Madison University with emphasis in both Percussion performance and Audio Recording/Engineering with a business minor. John's philosophy is to approach audio mixing like conducting an orchestra with various flowing and interweaving parts, that all push one another to make the entire experience complete. Prior to joining the IMG team in 2007, John worked for 10 years at Maryland Public Television. When he isn't mixing, John loves drumming, playing volleyball and running.
